Bongo Love are pioneers of "Afrocoustics", as they call their genre, uniquely blending infectious Afrobeat with their traditional Zimbabwean style. Bongo Love fuses guitar, drumming, and African acoustic instruments including the mbira (thumb piano from Zimbabwe) and the marimba (wooden xylophone from Mozambique). Their original songs and vibrant dances have captured audiences for nearly a decade making them one of Southern Africa’s most popular bands.

In their new show, Bongo Love leaps from pure euphoria to spirited reflection, inspiring body and mind. Their soulful songs grapple with memories of home, the journey of life, and loving one another. Singers John Mambira and Ratie Dangarembwa are a perfect match for star guitarist James Buzuzi. Mpho Mambira brings a refreshing zeal to the hypnotic marimba, and mbira player Tzorro Jombo dazzles in every number.

After traveling the U.S., performing more than 250 shows just this year, Bongo Love is eager to tour California, which they consider a second home.  “We’ve met so many great friends in California, we really wanted to share the love for the holidays,” John Mambira said.

Bongo Love’s #CaliLove Tour is a production of Addlife! World entertainment company and Kumakomo Trust. For more info, please reach press contact Malena Amusa at (314) 458 – 4282 or visit
