Celebrating a year of reaching thousands!!

There comes a point where a truly driven business woman becomes synonymous with her business… her daily actions become inseparable from her vision for her business, and every second becomes a miracle of impacting the world in a big way!

2015 was a year of incredible achievement! In February, I joined the renowned touring troupe Cirque Zuma Zuma as a principal dancer and choreographer. In the spring and fall of 2015, I successfully performed in more than 150 shows with the cirqus, blowing the minds of hundreds and thousands of people at elite theaters and universities in nearly every state in America. Working with the circus, I had the marvelous joy of doing a 5-week run at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri, where we lit up the hearts of thousands daily in the theme park’s most attended show in its long history of entertainment. Touring with the circus pushed me like never before. Maintaining the stamina and spiritual fortitude to be on the road constantly was extremely difficult, but dance and the redemptive power of art proved a great salve in what was nothing short of the most grueling work assignments I’ve ever taken on. Dancing at this level has shown me the great future of African entertainment and importance of creating programs and performances that invigorate humanity and inspire healing! Addlife’s mission of activating communities, provoking a success mindset, and connecting people to their highest calling has been emboldened even more this year.

My year with the circus brilliantly culminated with Addlife! producing its own circus showcase in Las Vegas for the holidays at the West Las Vegas Library Theater for 600+ people in the Las Vegas area.

Perhaps the most amazing experience was teaching non-stop this past summer in New York at the Dwana Smallwood Performing Arts Center. As their resident African dance instructor and choreographer, I effectively taught more than 150 New York students Afro fusion, West African, Caribbean, Gumboot, Zulu and dynamic stretch, all with my firebrand style which turned some students into powerhouse performers. To work for Dwana Smallwood was a huge honor. Opened directly by the former Ailey Star and Oprah Winfrey, the Center hired me at its inception, allowing me to be an integral part of its development and programming.

Business wise, Addlife has taken on new form, to be able to reach the demand for African entertainment in an even bigger and powerful way. In November, I officially launched our new site – Addlifeworld.com. With that, I launched the expanded production, booking & talent buying wing of the business. The timing couldn’t be more perfect … as the demand for this work surges. I’ve invited key team members and several major partners to expand the reach of Addlife! The company was also able to operationalize its new company formed with Grandmaster Bolokada Conde – Africa United.  In May, Bolokada and I launched Africa United’s first ever Djembe X mega conference, one of the biggest drumming conventions in the world. This winter,  we launched Africa United’s new website and are poised to secure several  bookings for the pioneering group in 2016.

A super busy year, 2015 revealed the importance of hard work, pushing your dreams to the max, and doing the seemingly impossible every day! Now, ahead of 2016, I want to share a heartfelt gratitude for all of the wonderful people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with. For my family and friends for putting up with my constant traveling, and for my spiritual source, the mighty GOD for filling me with a supernatural sense of energy and divine call.

The year ahead will bear so many fruits, I feel blessed and excited to share them with you!!
